MQ, or presently also known as MarQet, was at the time a retail chain with a target group of fashion conscious men and women between 30-55. They stocked both exterior and inhouse brands and had around 120 shops plus a webshop in Sweden.

My main responsibilities were email marketing, social media and web campaign content. Piecing together how to stay fresh and up to date, guided by the seasonal campaign brief, mixed with sales targets and inventory lists.

In the fast paced retail industry where MQ roams quick thinking, creative problem solving, together with an eye for detail is very important. In a heartbeat there might be a major campaign change. New organic content, new marketing emails and ads needs to be created and pushed out in all channels, at the same time as the already planned work for the day can’t stop – there is just no time for mistakes. 

Since email marketing was such a big part of the whole marketing strategy it needed to be a smooth experience both for the customer and creator. I worked together with the external CRM-platform team to update all the marketing email templates to look fresh and automatically generate as much customer optimized content as possible. 

Working closely together with my copywrite partner we pushed out over 20 different targeted emails a week for the different types of customers. So automation was key to make it as great of a user experience as possible.
